We live in a time of great fear – and great potential. We are facing crises on the personal, community, national, and global levels. We are also experiencing massive resilience and powerful movements for justice.
  • Black Lives Matter - challenging police violence and the pandemic of white supremacy
  • Community responses to protect the most vulnerable from impacts of COVID-19  
  • Movements for environmental justice and deep ecology in response to the climate crisis
Change is always happening, and we have the power to shape that change by the way we live our  lives. How can we live in greater alignment with our values? How can we co-create a just and sustainable future? 

​Mindfulness empowers us to be the change we wish to see in the world. ​​​With mindfulness, which comes from the teachings of ancient Buddhism, we notice what is happening within us and around us in the present moment. We develop greater awareness of our thoughts, emotions, sensations, and environment. This awareness empowers us to respond rather than react to our experiences and to live our daily lives with greater clarity, purpose, and agency.
